With the opening of our state-of-the-art coating centre in Merchingen, we are setting new standards for the future – and at a grand scale.

This advanced powder coating facility is one of the largest in the region and offers capacity for handling large parts and coating services for other manufacturers.

The blast cabinet

Our blast cabinet can handle parts weighing up to 10 tonnes. The blasting material is automatically recovered, cleaned and reused.

Wet chemical pre-treatment

In the washing booth, components are degreased / phosphated automatically using a spray ring or manually with lances. In addition, passivation is applied to enhance corrosion resistance.

The adhesive water dryer

After washing, the metal can be heated in the curing oven. In this process, the curing oven functions as an adhesive water dryer which removes residual moisture even from the smallest cavities.

Powder application

The powder is applied manually using two applicators. Colour changes are quick and straightforward, with the palette including all RAL colours as well as custom options.

The curing oven

The curing oven for powder coatings is equipped with three run-in rails. Curing times and object temperatures are precisely adjusted to suit the specific requirements of each component.

The suspension tracks and buffer station

Your components of up to 14m in length pass through the coating system suspended from rails. They are temporarily held in the buffer station before proceeding to the next process.

Incoming and outgoing goods

The spacious storage area offers ample room for trucks to load and unload directly within the hall.

Our system offers the flexibility to coat parts of any size and number, from small to XXL and from single pieces to high-volume production. We can process parts measuring up to 14 metres in length and weighing up to 4 tonnes.

Environmentally friendly painting technology

Powder coating is a solvent-free and environmentally friendly finishing method. Our facility is optimised for processing steel parts but is also suitable for coating electrically conductive metals such as aluminium and stainless steel. Powder coating is a solvent-free, environmentally friendly method for protecting and finishing surfaces. Our facility is optimised for processing steel parts but also coats electrically conductive metals such as aluminium and stainless steel.

For coating aluminium and stainless steel, the paint particles are charged electrostatically to adhere to the surfaces.
The coated parts are heated in a powder curing oven, following specific temperature curves that are tailored to each product.
We offer a wide range of colours, as well as various gloss levels and textures.

Our new plant naturally meets the latest environmental standards. For instance, the warm exhaust air is recovered using heat exchangers, and wastewater is disposed of separately. However, solvent-free pre-treatment and the cascading of powder in individual chambers minimise wastewater production.

Innovative coating technology

Pre-treatment is the first step in achieving an excellent finish of a metal surface. Before the coat is applied, it is necessary to remove any contaminants including grease, oil and dirt. By combining the process of iron phosphating with a subsequent passivation treatment, we improve the corrosion resistance of the powder coat.

This process meets extremely high quality standards, such as those set by the agricultural machinery manufacturer John Deere.
